Today we are studying Matthew Chapter 12. In this chapter, we see increasing opposition toward Jesus as He challenges the religious leaders and reveals the true meaning of God’s law. He demonstrates that mercy is greater than ritual, exposes hardened hearts, and teaches about the power of words and the condition of the heart. This chapter reminds us that outward actions alone do not define righteousness—God is concerned with what is happening inside us. It calls us to examine our hearts, our motives, and our response to truth.
