God puts his brightest treasure in breakable people on purpose. In 2 Corinthians 4:7-15, Paul names four blows that land and four limits God sets: pressed but not crushed, perplexed but not despairing, persecuted but not forsaken, struck down but not destroyed. What spills through the cracks is the life of Jesus, often in someone else. We do not lose heart because the God who raised Jesus will raise us too, and all of it is so grace spreads and thanksgiving fills the room.
