The wing quest has officially gone global.
While traveling for business in Geneva, Switzerland, the show's correspondent on the ground had exactly enough time to find a plate of Nashville hot wings and report back. That's the job. That's always the job.
Black Tap is known for its burgers — and rightfully so — but the wings are on the menu and they earned the stop. Nashville hot style, which is a long way from home in the French-speaking heart of Switzerland, and they held their own. Small wings, pickles on top, and a sauce that was genuinely the best thing about the plate. The heat was right, the flavor was there, and the beer selection and staff made the whole thing feel considerably less like a business trip detour and considerably more like an actual meal worth remembering.
The wings being small is an honest note. The sauce being boss is the more important one.
Thirteen episodes in, the quest has crossed an ocean. Geneva is on the board.
