When an important person arrives at an important event, we expect a grand entrance. Matthew begins his gospel by showing us the coming of Jesus into this world and Jesus' entrance is indeed grand, but not in the way we would expect. We see several unexpected things from the genealogy and birth of Jesus. This sermon looks at Matthew Chapter 1 and is called "A Grand Entrance". This is the second sermon in our series "The King Has Come" on the gospel of Matthew.
