Summertime brings warm days and vacations. For my family, we look forward to a trip we take to the beach at the end of August. Thinking about how we will get to spend together on the ocean fills us with excitement and brings a real sense of joy. Having hope in what our vacation brings us helps us get through tough days. We read in 1 Peter 1 how the Apostle Peter wanted to give the church a Living Hope. Something that would sustain them even in a world that inflicts suffering on them. A hope that gives us something exciting to look forward to continually. In this sermon we explore these verses in 1 Peter and how they give us a hope that transforms us and brings us joy.
