Description

Ancient Roman temples were built using mammoth blocks of stone from nearby quarries. These stones would be cut in the quarry to the exact shaped necessary for a particular location in the temple structure. The stones were numbered or marked in some way to designate where they should be placed once they arrived at the construction site. In 1 Peter 2:5, Peter says that Christians are "living stones" being built into a "spiritual house." We have been saved by God for a purpose, shaped by God's grace and are being built together to show this world the glory of God. In part 9 of the sermon series "Scattered: The Hope of the Gospel in a Changing World," we look at 1 Peter 2:4-10 in a sermon called "Built by the Gospel" to see how the gospel shapes us and builds us together for the glory of God.

Listening to sermons online can be a great way to keep up with a sermon series if you are unable to attend church but should never be a substitute for regular attendance of a gospel-centered and bible teaching church.
