Imagine driving from Los Angeles to New York City. You drive for several days, putting a lot of mileage on your car, going through several tanks of gas. Then, as you approach the city limits of New York City, you pull over to the side of the road, get out of your car, and start jogging. You cross into New York City and declare, "I have run from Los Angeles to New York City!" That's not exactly accurate, is it? In a sermon called "Faith from Start to Finish", we look at Galatians 3:1-9. In this passage Paul shows that the start of our relationship with God is through faith, so it is absurd to think that we would then continue in this relationship through our own works. Our relationship with God is from faith, from start to finish and this has always been God's plan.
