I watched a blacksmith shape metal once. I was amazed as he heated it until it glowed. I was in awe as he struck with a hammer over and over again to shape it. It seemed so harsh and unsophisticated, yet he knew his tools, knew the metal, and every motion was done with precision and purpose. We are continuing the sermon series "Focal Point" which looks at the message of the entire Bible. This sermon is called "God's Refining Purpose" and examines the message of the prophets in Scripture and God's purpose in sending his people in the Old Testament into captivity and exile. We learn about God's purpose and process for refining us and we are pointed to our great need for God's work in us through Jesus' death and resurrection.

Listening to sermons online can be a great way to keep up with a sermon series if you are unable to attend church but should never be a substitute for regular attendance of a gospel-centered and bible teaching church.
