This sermon starts a new series called "One Choice, One Step". When we read the stories in Scripture of people like Abraham, David, or Ruth, it is easy to think that there is no way we can be like them. God doesn't call us to be like them, though! God calls us to trust in Him! These true stories in Scripture are simply stories of people who made a choice to trust God and then to take a step of faith based on that choice. This is what it means to follow God's will for our life. It isn't complicated. It is simply a choice to trust God and then to step out in that choice.
This new series will look at some of the famous people of the Bible and how they made a choice to trust God and then step out in faith. Some of them did this well. Some, not so well. As we look at their stories, we learn about why we can, and must, make our own choice to trust God and then look at how we can take a step of faith as we trust in Him.
