Have you ever been in so much sorrow or stress that you felt your world was ripping apart? Have you struggled to put that sorrow into words or even struggled with whether or not it was right to be feeling that way at all? 1 Peter 1:5 says that the recipients of Peter's letter "may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials". The book of 1 Peter deals with Christians going through great difficulty. As we continue our sermon series on 1 Peter, called "Scattered: The Hope of the Gospel in a Changing World", we are going to step away from the book of 1 Peter and look at the Old Testament book of Lamentations which deals with a period of great pain, sorrow, and loss in the history of God's people. In a sermon called "Learning to Lament" we look at this powerful and difficult book as we learn lessons from those who cried out in lament and, I pray, we will also learn the proper place of lament in our lives today.

Listening to sermons online can be a great way to keep up with a sermon series if you are unable to attend church but should never be a substitute for regular attendance of a gospel-centered and bible teaching church.
