Ever had the experience of walking in a dark room and not being able to turn on the light. After awhile your eyes adjust a bit and maybe you can see some faint outlines of the furniture so you don't hurt yourself as you move around. Maybe, if it is too dark, you just have to feel around with our hands. What if at that moment someone turned on a very bright light. We might think that our first reaction would be "thanks! That's so much better!" But the truth is that our first reaction would probably be to shut our eyes and turn away from the light because eyes that are used to the dark can be hurt when the light shines.
We begin a three week Christmas series called "Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery". This sermon is called "Light of the World" and we look at John 1:1-14 where Jesus comes as the light into a very dark world. Will we have eyes to see or close our eyes and turn away?

Listening to sermons online can be a great way to keep up with a sermon series if you are unable to attend church but should never be a substitute for regular attendance of a gospel-centered and bible teaching church.
