First impressions are always tough to navigate. You want to leave the people you are meeting with a good representation of you. But what can make those first impressions difficult is when the people you are meeting come in with preconceived notions of who you are. They might assume things, misunderstand you, and even attribute actions to you incorrectly.
In this sermon, we look at a very similar story in the Gospel of Luke, where the disciples carried assumptions about who Jesus is and what he came to do. With these assumptions it even led them to become blind to Jesus Himself. How can we avoid the same blindness? How can we humble ourselves to live in the new reality Jesus calls us to? We'll explore the Gospel of Luke for answers.
