In Ephesians 4:25 - 5:2 Paul gives some instructions for those who have been saved by Christ and brought into the new community of the church. He gives several specific things that they should stop doing, things they should do instead, and reasons for doing these things. For Paul (and hopefully for us!) these aren't just helpful, moral, teachings, they are the expression of the people's belief that they have been saved by Christ and are part of a new community that demonstrates the gospel in everything they do.
