There is an old saying, "We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails." We do not determine when or how God will work, but we can be ready. We can know who God is and how He works so that we recognize when He is working. Through the power of Christ in us and the Word of God at work in our lives we can be ready to be used by God for His work. We continue our sermon series called "God at Work" looking at the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. We are looking at Nehemiah 1:1 - 2:10 in a sermon called "Prepared for God's Work." In this first section of the book of Nehemiah we see how Nehemiah was prepared to be used by God in the important work that is carried on in the rest of this book. We see how we too can be prepared to be used by God for His work in our world.
