This sermon concludes our sermon series on 1 Peter called "Scattered: The Hope of the Gospel in a Changing World." Who could have imagined that when we started this sermon series we would actually be experiencing being physically scattered and separated? Yet God knew and His power, love, mercy, and grace are at work now in our lives just as He was at work in the lives of Peter's recipients. Like them, we need to keep our focus on the gospel of Jesus Christ. Like them, we need to live faithfully in whatever situation we are in. Like them, we need to remember that suffering is not unusual in the Christian life but is an opportunity for the gospel to be demonstrated through our lives
