What makes a church a church? What is the purpose and focus of a church? What is the mission of the church? These are important questions because if we get this wrong then we are no longer serving the purpose that God has for the church in the world today. As we continue our overview of the Bible sermon series called "Focal Point," we look at the letters written to the church in the New Testament. These letters show us what was most important to them and what should still be most important to us today. We will be taking a few weeks on this subject. In this sermon we focus on "The Gospel and the Church" as we look at the foundation of the gospel for the identity and mission of the church.
