Description

A soldier stands ready at his post. The world is dark around him, as the sun is yet to rise. He knows enemies might be waiting in the darkness, just beyond the light of the torches on the city walls. He has been waiting and watching for hours. Rumors have been passed among the guards that an attack may be imminent. One thought gives hope to the soldier, the sun will rise soon." This is the sentiment of Psalm 130:6 which says, "I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning." I think the disciples understood the tension of this waiting as they faced the coming arrest and crucifixion of Jesus. As we continue our series called "Don't Miss This", we look at John 15:26 - 16:33 in a sermon called "The Light Shines." In a moment of great darkness, Jesus gives comfort and hope to his disciples that continues to give comfort and hope to us today.

Listening to sermons online can be a great way to keep up with a sermon series if you are unable to attend church but should never be a substitute for regular attendance of a gospel-centered and bible teaching church.
