In our previous sermon we looked at the rich young man who went away sad because Jesus told him he had to give away his riches and follow Jesus. But Jesus doesn't just tell him to give everything up for no reason, he says "and you will have treasure in heaven" (Mt. 19:21). In this sermon, we look at this idea of treasure in heaven and why we can trust that the treasure we are given by God's grace, through Jesus Christ, is so much greater than anything we are called to give up. This sermon, called "Treasures in Heaven", looks at Matthew 19:25 - 20:16.
