Some people tie a little string around their finger to remind them of things. As long as they look at this string on their finger they will remember that they have to do something. When that thing is accomplished the string is removed. We can live our lives constantly reminded of our sins or we can turn to Christ and understand how he has removed the guilt and stain of sin so that in him our sins are "remembered no more" (Hebrews 10:17).
