In 2007 I learned about the Yama's and the Niyama's, which are the first 2 limbs of Patanjali's 8 Limbs of Yoga. I always loved learning about this part of yoga and how the practice of yoga is so much more than the physical postures.
The Yama's are described as social restraints and the Niyamas are self-disciplines. 

There are 5 Yama's
1. Ahimsa (non-violence)
2. Satya (truthfulness)
3. Asteya (non-stealing)
4. Brahmacharya (moderation of the senses)
5. Aparigraha (non-greed)

And 5 Niyama's
1. Saucha (Cleanliness)
2. Santosha (Contentment)
3. Tapas (Self Discipline)
4. Svadhyaya (Self Study)
5. Isvara-pranidhana (Surrender)

And in today's episode we are going to learn more about them and how they apply to life.
