MESSAGE NOTES
- James 4:1 - James is making the claim: You have a bigger problem than your current problem.
- James 4:2 - James refocuses their attention from their circumstances to their inner life. And says, "Your problem isn't just out there; it's in here."
- Envy can be so dangerous to human relationships.
- James 4:2-3 - After James diagnoses their envy, he goes deeper and explains way.
- James 4:4 - James is wanting us to ask the tough question, "are you just looking out for yourself?"
- Romans 7:21-23 - James is saying, "you have a heart problem, and you can't fix it on your own."
- James 4:6 & Proverbs 3:34 - Jesus can solve your biggest problem.
- God opposes the proud. He stands against those who would say, "I can do it on my own; I'm fine all by myself." but he gives grace to the humble.
