PD is a cultural icon, Canadian boardsports pioneer and gatekeeper with deep roots in Snowboarding. PD's HotShop carried Snowboards in Vancouver before pretty much any other retailer and then launched Crystal Ocean Snowboards in 83 or 84.
PD does not compromise his values for monetary gain. Ever. He worked with Option Snowboards and before that Never Board company to build high quality Snowboards which he sold for 15 years before calling it quits on his own terms.
