Jeff Pensiero worked for Glissade snowboards and spent the early nineties shredding in Tahoe before migrating to BC Canada to follow his heart and his passion for back country snowboarding. In 2002 Jeff opened Baldface with a group of investors that included Craig Kelly and John Buffery as well as a handful of others, some you’ve heard of, like Dave Grohl and some you haven’t. 20 years later Baldface employs somewhere around 100 people and some weeks of cat boarding at the lodge are sold out years in advance. Baldface represents the best snowboarding on the planet and is on pretty much every true snowboarder’s bucket list. This is an interview with Jeff in his office in Nelson recorded in late November 2023.
