Our guests is Rev. Emmanuel Charles McCarthy is a priest of the Eastern Rite (Byzantine-Melkite) of the Catholic Church in communion with the Bishop of Rome, the Pope. For over forty-five years he directed retreats throughout the world on the issue of the relationship of faith and violence, and the Nonviolent Jesus and His Way of Nonviolent Love of friends and enemies. He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and is author of several books. Today he talks with us about the origin of Mother's Day and reminds us that "the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world."
