Welcome to Episode 31 of Two Unemployed Actors! Max and Sam are officially broadcasting from the bunker as they navigate the realities of lockdown life in Australia. With the world pressing pause, the guys are recording remotely, bringing you the same industry insights but with a distinct flavour of isolation sanity.

This week, we dive into the surreal experience of watching an Actor's busy diary go completely blank overnight. From the heartbreak of deleting networking events and highly anticipated theatre runs like Bell Shakespeare's Hamlet at the Sydney Theatre Company to the eerie, trafficless silence of Bondi Junction, the acting landscape has drastically changed.

But it is not all doom and gloom! Max discusses the unexpected boom in online voiceover auditions and why having a solid home studio setup is suddenly the ultimate industry advantage. We also chat about the importance of strictly scheduling your day to avoid the perilous "couch trap" when you are stuck at home around the clock.

To pass the time, the guys have been doing some serious Netflix queue purging and reevaluating classic 90s action films like Edge of Darkness with adult eyes, along with a review of the Aussie film Palm Beach. Plus, hear about Max's adventures surviving lockdown with his dogs, featuring Fred the dachshund rocking his brand new "doggles" on the back of the Vespa for essential trips!

And of course, no pandemic episode would be complete without a debrief on the bizarre supermarket panic buying. Why is the meat section entirely stripped bare while the tofu and vegan food remains completely untouched? We try to make sense of it all.

Join us for a candid, highly humorous look at surviving the new normal as a working creative. Hit play, take a much needed break from the relentless daily news cycle, and please let us know how you are keeping your creative spark alive today.
