Description

Maybe you're like me and you are going to shamelessly promote yourself.

This week’s episode will be a pseudo part 2 of the last episode I shared. And in it I’m getting more practical about self-promotion. If you’re like me then you will benefit from this breakdown and pep talk too. In this context, I’m talking about promoting your products, services, events, nonprofit, etc. I’m talking about promoting that thing that you have poured your heart and soul into. It’s the thing that you’re passionate about. It's the idea that gets you up in the morning. You get so excited that you could do and would do it for free.

And for that reason you can DO all the things but you have so much trouble TALKING about them and talking about yourself. Promotion feels yucky. But we have to get into self-promo because of these three facts that I talk about in the episode:

You know who this reminded me of?
Maya Washington, or as many people know her, Shameless Maya. I encourage you to go back to her early videos on YouTube if you want some inspiration on this topic. She’s a well-loved, multi-talented creative and social influencer.

On a related note:
If you want an anthem for the week to keep you motivated, I've had Swoope's "Hall of Fame" on a loop. It's great for working out too.

We might be more alike than you think...
