On the Access Louisville podcast this week, we talk about two projects from well-known Louisville developer Kevin Cogan. His latest is a huge mixed use development next to Slugger Field, which Reporter Marty Finley tells us about.
His other big project, the controversial One Park development near Lexington Road and Grinstead Drive, was also in the news lately as a public hearing is coming up soon. In talking about that we raise the question: Is this project too big?
The project was downsized earlier this year, taken from 34 stories tall to 18 stories tall.
Finley said he heard from people on Twitter who've told him that downsizing that much was a bridge too far.
Later in the show, we talk to reporter Haley Cawthon about all the latest news with Papa John's International Inc. The Louisville-based pizza chain recently named a new CEO. And its controversial founder, John Schnatter, sold a huge stake in the company.
Design and multimedia editor Brooke Timmons is also on this week's show.
