Description

We talk about out-of-date logos, restaurants and NBA to Louisville efforts on this week’s Access Louisville podcast.

The branding discussion was kicked off by the fact that Kroger recently refreshed its logo . We talk about what we think of the new look, then dive into some local places that could use a branding refresh. Fourth Street Live, you’re on notice. The branding talk starts at the 00:57 mark.

After that, we go over some restaurant comings and goings, including a new restaurant at The Galt House. Restaurant reporter Haley Cawthon tells us about the concept. That discussion starts at the 6:42 mark.

Finally, at the14:16 mark, we talk about a new effort from NBA to Louisville. The group just launched a three-tiered ambassador program to raise new support. We talk about the likelihood of landing an NBA team in Louisville. Associate editor Zak Owens said he wants to see it happen but believes Louisville will be hard press to do so, especially considering a $1.4 billion expansion fee.

Access Louisville is a weekly podcast from Louisville Business First and LouisvilleBusinessFirst.com. This week the show is hosted by Digital Editor David A. Mann, Design/Multimedia Editor Brooke Timmons, Owens and Cawthon.
