ROOT DOWNWARD - FRUIT UPWARD - 2 Kings 19:30
We need to bear fruit, because a branch without fruit will be taken away by the Husbandman who is our Father in heaven! No root means no fruit, and this we learn directly from the word of God. As we spread our roots in the right place, deep roots in good ground will produce good fruit, and the right place will produce righteous roots! If the root be holy, so are the branches.
