In this Faces of Cannabis interview I sit down with my good friend Green Beard, or GB to those of us lucky enough to know him. GB and I met when we were both part of the High on Homegrown podcast, and over the last few years he's become one of my favourite people in the cannabis community.
When we recorded this conversation in 2022, GB was living in Ireland, where cannabis was (and still is) illegal for anything outside a very narrow medical program. Growing a single plant could get you a criminal record and your name in the newspaper. GB grew anyway, worked to break the stigma alongside Ireland's activist community and still found time to test every bit of grow folklore he came across on his own plants.
Update: Since this episode first aired, GB has moved to Canada. So the guy who used to meet his dealer behind a dumpster now lives in a country where adults can walk into a licensed store. I couldn't be happier for him.
