Cosplay is for everyone and it's for fun...so why are there so many politics?
Like every industry, it does have it's unwritten 'do's and don't's' for what is acceptable and what "should" be done at a Con or as a Cosplayer. Some ignore it, some create it, and others (like me) generally avoid it.
Competitive Cosplay can get rough. There's a lot going on at the top that I've not been involved with nor do I care to go into too much detail on rumors of what goes on and all of the barriers that are created in an area that is supposed to be relatively boundary free.
I have a few tips for you in this episode about avoiding politics and staying in your lane to just create great content in different ways. If it's just a hobby, or an expression of yourself, you shouldn't have to worry about what other people think, let alone the 'industry leaders' above you that steer the whole community in some way.
