Do the industries Cosplayers support care about their efforts in marketing?
Cosplayers promote movies, toys, streaming services, comics, and Cons, and they don't get too much for it. Millions, or more coming into the big studios and companies, and zero for Cosplayers.
Do you reach out to companies? Is it worth getting worked up over? We’re borrowing the characters, themes, and creating Fan Art based on what they built – but there's not much incentive for the Cosplayer to continue to build when there is little acknowledgement coming from those who benefit the most.
Should it be more of a two-way conversation? Companies reaching out to influencers in Cosplay?
