This week let’s talk about something that plagues the community in the two-facing that exists online and inside of the Cosplay community.
Something to watch out for – as there are too many examples of Cosplayers going after other cosplayers, talking behind their backs, starting rumors, and spamming allegations. In a sense, backstabbing.
What do we do about this behavior?
Unfortunately, adults learn this and it is a survival mechanism. If we build trust just to betray it, there can be an incentive to do so. At work, you’ll befriend someone just to later throw them under the bus and look good to the C-Level execs so you can later become one or just leap over the other person.
It’s part of the ‘cancel culture’ that we live around.
Being an adult isn’t always the best approach. Sometimes, it’s better to be like a child in that you work within a code of ethics.
