In this episode I talk to you about Fandom. Fandom is everywhere, especially and exactly in this industry where we like to dress, look, and act like our favorite comic book and movie superheroes. Why do we do it? To connect.
In this Podcast, I go into what Fandom means to me and briefly talk about a book due to come out called Fanocracy by David Meerman Scott. I met with David this year at an Entrepreneur's meet-up where he was the guest speaker. We took a few pictures, and over the course of the event, he spent a lot of time talking about Fandom as it exists in our culture today.
What drives you to connect as a fan with your Cosplay? I'm sure we'll talk about it more in coming episodes, but definitely did not want to let it wait any longer to start the conversation!
