Description

In terms of Marketing, what do you do or what do you want to bring attention to when you start Cosplaying – and do you have to?

You can just go to a Con (when there are Cons to go to again *sigh*), try a costume, be a fan – you really do not HAVE to post anything or bring any attention to yourself.

Start small and steady – consistent content wins every time – and try to be concise and work with the platform you choose and the type of content it looks for

It doesn’t have to be perfect. 1000 photos later.  100 videos later. 100 podcasts later – look at where you started and how far you’ve gone.

What you’re doing will grow and you may change your mind.

What you want people to pay attention to may change.

Is it a style, a character, a fandom, a message, charity, outreach, or a service you provide (are you an artist, photographer, designer, crafter, or gamer – there’s a lot you can bring attention to, but what are you choosing – where do you want to start – what makes the most sense for you?  What has the most meaning?

It’s ok to pivot.  It’s ok to grow, and it’s ok to bring attention to yourself if you like – it’s not all that Cosplay is about, but were all here together in this space for our common ground which is this hobby, an interest, a passion, and piece of our lives.
