Description

We've been talking Motivation and Encouragement all week.  We're wrapping up with a thought on what may be affecting you right now.

It’s ok if it isn’t ok all the time.

Bad days happen.  Bad things happen.

What's bad for one person may not be for another - this is internal - this is personal.

You’re going to have a bad day or have had one.  But is it really the whole day that’s bad? All 24 hours? Maybe, but usually its just one or two things that go wrong that make us forget about all the things that went right.

This is where something called gratitude comes in – if you spend time thinking about what goes right in comparison to what doesn’t – you may be experiencing gratitude – one bad day, but what went right? With your build, with your posts, your friends, family, at a Con – it’s ok to have a bad day – it’s even ok to recognize you did and tell people about it

It’s not always related to your hobby

It’s not always in the context of Cosplay – otherwise, if it is…why keep the hobby at all?  Do you want to punish yourself with something you don’t want to do just because it’s content on the internet?

The bad stuff happens everywhere and it can come out in Cosplay – whoever you meet at a Con, or online – realize without the know, like, trust – they have lives and there’s stuff going on behind the scenes – Instagram isn’t real life

Not being positive is also ok

You can say things suck, it doesn’t make you a bad person. You can disagree, argue, get angry, and have opinions too.  Doesn’t make you a bad person.  Just means you’re dealing with things - you are processing. You have emotions and you are sharing them (not always online - this could be going on in your head).

Separating that from Cosplay – your hobby – your escape – makes sense, doesn’t it?  Isn’t this where you go to leave that and let go of it, or have an outlet for creativity, not one that makes you more negative?
