Cosplay costs money. I want a proton pack, and they’re like $2500 dollars. Even if I could build one myself, it would still cost a lot of time and hundreds of dollars. How do you finance it? And all the things that surround it.
In general, thinking about money – you need to thank it, and pay yourself first. That’s what I’ve learned. Money presents options, so the more you have, the more options you have.
Don’t be afraid to create avenues for paid content – digital art, prints, and services (even commissions) can get you started. You’re building a brand in the community, so why not at least set up a way for people to contribute – monetize as soon as you can (more on this later in the week)
