Cos PAY week continues as we talk about the cost of Production.
Videos, photos, digital art, memberships, audio, editing, software – it all costs something.
This can get really expensive if you’re creating fully produced videos or fan films.
Maybe you’re using it for other things – that’s not really a tip, but if you already have Adobe CC because you’re doing design, [of have a student account] then it’s serving another purpose so your cost is either not as high or zero because of that
Photoshoots can be expensive and it’s hard to shoot videos and photos on your own (not impossible – you can create videos with static shots – quality of content is not always effects).
What can you do?
Besides Patreon or Ko-Fi spots for donations to offset the overall costs, you can pick free programs to help you get where you need to go
Audacity – Free Audio
Canva – free editing (basics) – great for YouTube channels or other Social platforms
OpenShot – free video editing
Filmora video editor – still has some editing ability
Pixlr – photo editing on your phone [easy to use]
Basic doesn’t mean cheap – but if you just need to make some quick adjustments and aren’t paying for full photography shoots and editing you may give these a try!
