Your following doesn't matter.
At least, not in the sense that continuing to create content just to get like and follows is relevant to existence. You may do this full time, and you need to stay in the social media game to keep your Merch sales going, but for Cosplay in general - you wear a lot of different hats (sometimes literally) and if you keep trying to grow for the sake of growing (to say that you're somebody at a con or whatever) it may drive you to burn out or worse.
There's a lot to this game - we'll get started on the topic and what it is exactly that you could focus on instead to build an OFFER for your following while continuing to grow in the Cosplay community.
