Why we Cosplay and not just Cosplay, but why do we have to share it at all?
We’re not just dressing up as the characters anymore – we’re imitating the look of the actors wearing the costumes and it’s getting to the “who are you wearing” phase where costume designers are finding accounts and sending suits out in order to get noticed.
It’s all about attention, but are there other reasons deeper or broader than that for the Cosplayer today?
Unfortunately – with social media the ‘fame flash’ is always a part of that. Climb a mountain, take a selfie. Run a race, take a selfie. Eat dinner…take a selfie.
Today we're talking about the other reasons why we Cosplay and also that it's ok to share, but maybe not healthy to always (or only) think about the metrics of posting our Cosplays online.
