You are enough. Often, when you want to start making money at something, you feel like you’re not ‘expert’ enough to do so. You might even think that being confident in who you are and what you offer is wrong at some level.
It’s not, but impostor syndrome – something I’ve talked about before – can come up a lot. I felt it needed an update.
There’s often a lot of comparison to others in Cosplay – I do it. I know where my limits are and how do I get around impostor syndrome?
I realize where I am in the process. I started at zero and I am building. I didn’t start 10 years ago, but I’ve learned something along the way. I’ve learned so much. I’ve taught, trained, and implemented. I’ve also failed a lot. The failures are teaching tools too.
Realize what you’re comparing yourself to is a high bar in most cases. Some YouTubers, Twitch Streamers, and Cosplayers have a lot of momentum behind them already. You’re not here to compete with them. You’re joining in and creating your own conversation.
Be kind to yourself.
