There’s a lot going on and staying on top of your cosplay means that you need to produce content at scale.
Production, shoots, negotiating, the rest of your life, expenses & budgeting, branding, marketing.
All of this leads to OVERWHELM – Never mind everything going on in the world, and that many of us have had to dial back due to on-going concerns with the economy and Covid-19
What do you do? There are two sides – the practical and the not-so-practical (call it the woo-woo side)
Let’s start with the woo-woo side, which is mindset.
What leads you into overwhelm and anxiety?
Feeling that there’s just too much going on?
There are a lot of deep reasons that go into this
If you need a break, take one! Cosplayers often just keep going – keep creating beyond burnout to stay relevant.
First of all – you can miss a Monday, a shoutout, let your stories go for a day or just leave posting and responses for another day. Is this your full-time job? If it was – are you working there 24/7 too when they pay you?
Most of the time, social media response isn’t for a wage, you just do it 24/7
Check into your sleep habits, training, nutrition, exposure to media, and the hours you are keeping at work and working on everything else at home
Really look into a way to get clear and focused and use smaller windows of time most effectively.
Meditate, remove caffeine, use an app that focuses your mind, unplug – walk around in nature – walk around in your bare feet – the point is to do something to relieve your mind and stop the overwhelm from exhausting you
Know your Why- be clear on what you stand for.
Get super freaking organized. Have planners, notebooks, spreadsheets, and alerts that keep you on track
Automate what you can, keep it simple.
Pre-record and set specific times to create content – very specific times for very specific content and create loose scripts too.
