In this message, Pastor Josh begins a new series called The Source, exploring powerful imagery throughout the Gospel of John that reveals who Jesus really is.
In John 4, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at a well—an unlikely encounter between a Jewish rabbi and a broken outsider. In a moment that crosses social, cultural, and religious boundaries, Jesus offers her something no well could ever provide: living water.
Throughout Scripture, water represents life, provision, and renewal. From the river flowing through Eden, to water from the rock in the wilderness, to the river flowing from the temple in Ezekiel’s vision, the Bible repeatedly points to God as the source of life.
But in John 4, Jesus reveals something even greater.
He is the source.
Many of us spend our lives drawing from wells that never truly satisfy—success, relationships, religion, approval, or achievement. Yet Jesus offers living water that doesn’t just fill us temporarily, but becomes a spring of life flowing from within us.
If you’ve ever felt spiritually thirsty, empty, or searching for something more, this message will help you discover the life that only Jesus can give.
John 4:13–14(NIV)
"Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst."
