Say Hi

GETTING THE MOST OUT OF CHURCH REVIVALIt is a good assumption to say that every Church member wants to be revived or renewed. But some of us do not prepare ourselves for God’s movement in His Church. As we begin our revival meetings today, here are few tips on how to get the most out of our Church revival:1.Be Broken: No one can truly draw closer to God unless one is truly broken inside. Brokenness simply means that you should accept the fact that you have flaws or weaknesses in your life and you need the Lord to strengthen you. A proud person cannot receive anything good from the Lord because God distastes the proud. But a person with a contrite heart and broken spirit God will not ignore.2.Clear Your Schedule Of Other Commitments: Revivals often start in the evening and may end late into the night. Shut the world off and concentrate on the service. Devote the time of revival to God and cancel any prior or new appointments for that period of revival.3.Rebuke The Spirit Of Sleep And Wandering Mind: Rest well and do not be overactive during the day at work or in your business. What you give in to the revival is what you will get. Do not give the devil the chance to continue to struggle to stay awake rather than hear the message.4.Stop Pointing At Others: This is true concerning all messages the Lord may send to you even outside a revival meeting. Do not think about what applies to others in the Church but how the message applies to your life. Until you focus on growing closer to God and stop worrying about other people’s flaws, you would not get much from the messages.5.Be There: The revival is for you all nights. The common practice is for people to show up the first meeting and wait until about the last night to show up again. You can never predict God. Remember the story of the Ten Virgins in Matthew 25:1-13. God’s power can come when you are not there. Do not miss it. Make a commitment to attend every night of the event.6.List Issues To Work On: Make a list of issues you feel you need to work on prior to the revival, such as jealousy, unforgiving attitude, anger, impatience etc. Ask a trusted accountability person to pray along with you and check if you are experiencing desired changes in your life. 7.Making Altar Call: Do not go to the altar simply because everyone else is going. Only go up if you truly feel the Spirit is urging you to go or you need prayer. God knows your heart. Do not worry about what people think of you. The Lord of revival will bless you as you come prepared and expectant in Jesus’ name. Amen.
