The Hoyle Historic Homestead, Inc. was formed in 1991 to purchase and preserve Gaston Countyโs oldest residence.ย In 1993, the site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The organization has raised and continues to raise funds from memberships, donations and from grants to enable it to preserve the buildings and grounds.
