In Matthew’s gospel, the last charge of Jesus Christ to his disciples was to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” (Matthew 28:19). This has always been the task of the church—to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all peoples and to invite them into a loving relationship with him and with his body, the church. In this sermon series, Rev. Dr. Rodger Nishioka will explore ways we reach out to others to do as Jesus asked us. Our scripture reading today is Nehemiah 2:17-3:5.
