In one of the Bible's strangest stories, God tells Balaam to go with the Moabite officials, but then becomes angry when he goes. Was God changing His mind, or was something deeper happening beneath the surface?
In Numbers 22:7–35, we explore the story of Balaam and his talking donkey to discover that God isn't interested in outward obedience alone. He sees the motives of our hearts. His will never gives us permission to sin, pursue selfish ambition, or run away from the calling He has placed on our lives.
