Welcome to the #172nd episode of The Athletes Podcast, where we bring you the stories, insights, and experiences of athletes from all walks of life! Today we feature Kennedy Justinen, born and raised in Rocky Mountain House, AB. Justinen learned to ski and snowboard in a recreational manner at the ages of 4 & 10. Focusing their younger years on accessible sports & moved to Kelowna at 18 to be closer to the mountains. At age 21, Kennedy acted on a lifelong desire to compete in elite-level snowboarding with no prior training or experience. In 2022, Kennedy finished 3rd overall on the NorAm Cup tour; acquiring a personal spot on the Canadian World Cup team for the 2022/23 season. Fast forward to 2023, where she just recently won the North American Cup. We hope you enjoy the episode!
