From Exodus 19:5-6a; 1 Peter 2:4-6,9; Zephaniah 3:17. In the new covenant, there is no need for a physical temple building, but the idea of a temple has a lot to do with how we should worship. Before we investigate the book of Haggai (an Old Testament book about the temple), we would do well to understand the connection between the temple and our worship.
