From our Advent series. In this first week of Advent, we give weight and substance to a fundamental Christian word that, in modern culture, has been drained of much of its power: hope. As the story of Anna and Simeon (in Luke 2:22-40) reminds us, to be a people of hope is to live anchored to the reality of the Kingdom of God and the King who has come and is coming back for us.
